Policy For Progress is a startup ideas and action lab to create a future Massachusetts that all Americans look to as a model of effective, equitable government. We identify and incubate emerging leaders and policy solutions by activating our network, gauging public opinion, and analyzing pathways to change. Motivated by progressive ideals, animated by evidence showing what works, and clear-eyed about the public will for change, we believe the best ideas should win.
We will be listening to you - please nominate an idea we should tackle or solution we should evaluate, nominate a leader to join a steering committee that will chart our path forward, or nominate an emerging policy researcher (including yourself!) to join as a founding Research Fellow.
Innovations piloted in Massachusetts can change the nation-- indeed they have. But entrenched interests have slowed the pace of change necessary to make government work for those who need it most. To make progress, we need the majority of voters to understand effective policy in context, leaders who take bold stances for evidence-based solutions, and a more effective policy and political ecosystem focused on making change that works. We embark on this work by analyzing political pathways and engaging in advocacy in partnership with our affiliate, Priorities For Progress.
